Details of the role

  • AbstractOps Learn allΒ about us. We think we're fun, quirky, and, most important, tackling a big problem (oh, and we're growing fast). Fun fact: we were one of the select companies rated by Forbes as aΒ Cloud 100 Rising Star.
Role This is a critical and exciting role to build and scale our core social channels from the ground up. You'll own everything from generating content for and managing growth of these channels. Our customer targets are US-based startup founders looking for accurate, concise, and useful information about HR, finance, legal, and regulatory operations as they navigate their startup journeys. We want to deliver relevant and thoughtful content in the right formats across our social channels. Some example topics our founders are interested in include:
  • What is a 409a valuation?
  • How do I register by startup in the state of California?
  • Which state should I incorporate my startup and why?
  • What are the best banks for startups and which one is right for me?
  • How do I build out the best remote team?
  • Timing Immediately!
  • Location We're a fully-remote team, but for this role, we have a preference for people located in India.
  • Summary responsibilities
    • Curate thoughtful and relevant content for our target audience to drive awareness of what we do, build relationships with our target audience, and ultimately drive leads for AbstractOps. This will include writing some or all of the content as well.
    • Create a strategy for social content and community engagement across our core social channels - LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Quora, and Youtube
    • Develop the content strategy and manage our Slack community - AO Community
    • Set up an internal reporting system to track and scale our social goals and results
  • Ideal profile
    • You have at least 2+ years of experience in owning and driving social channels for a startup company. You have a strong grasp of how equity, finance, and regulatory / legal processes work in the US OR are confident in being able to ramp up and learn them.
    • You're extremely detail-oriented and finicky about getting facts correct. This is especially important in being able to provide credible, authoritative information to our ICP using our social channels
    • You love building relationships, nurturing a community, and empathise with founders
    • You have prior experience in a fintech or related B2B startup (preferred but not required)
    • If you don't have the above experience but can prove that you are an exceedingly fast learner who enjoys the details, that works too!

Your Responsibilities

  • Curate thoughtful and relevant content for our target audience using the right format, accurate and concise information that embodies the "AbstractOps" voice. Be a thought leader!
  • Understand and develop unique content and growth strategies for each social channel (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Quora, and Youtube
  • Proactively manage our social channels by responding to and building relationships with startup founders and operators
  • Develop the content strategy and manage our Slack community - AO Community
  • Set up an internal reporting system to track and scale our social goals and results
  • Think analytically and use data to assess results, goals, and ultimately make decisions.
  • Curious about new tools and systems to continually improve our processes and get better results!
  • Enjoys reading, writing, and editing customer-facing content
  • Exceedingly curious and always looking to find the edge. It's difficult to differentiate in the marketing world so how can AbstractOps stand out?
    • We'd love to hear your ideas even before you start
  • Will dig into user research to understand the "spiky" value we provide (i.e., we offer a lot, but which are the things people can't live without?)
  • Over time, will continue to expand their scope of work to perhaps include partnerships, or other aspects of strategy / GTM
  • You will report directly to the Head of Growth who likes to move fast, communicate constantly, and be regularly challenged with new ideas.
